Windhoek City Tour
(approximately three hours)

African flair and the European way of life blend to an interesting mix in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. The Windhoek city tour gives you a perception of Namibia's turbulent past. The two contrasting suburbs, Ludwigsdorf and Katutura, reflect the huge difference between the upper and lower income-classes of Windhoek. At Penduka in Katutura women produce and sell crafts. The focal points of this city tour are the historical buildings from the German colonial times and the contrasts of this town. Special requests like visiting the breweries or parliament can be fulfilled upon request.

The pick-up and drop-off at your accommodation, the vehicle and your tour guide are included.


Gamsberg Trails
(07.30 - 18.30)

In the early morning you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive in a VW Microbus to the Weissenfels Guest Farm. From here, the journey continues in an open 4x4 Land Rover onto the Gamsberg Plateau. The drive is exciting and an adventure on its own. The last three kilometres are extremely steep. The optional hike on the west side of the mountain with a view over the Namib Desert is the highlight of the day. Afterwards a picnic lunch is served under the reed covered pergola. Return to Windhoek in the early evening.

Daan Viljoen Tour
(approximately three hours - from 9h00 till 12h00)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, west of Windhoek. With some luck, you might see game such as Oryx, ostriches, springboks, hartebeests and the rare eland. You have time to go on a casual walk in the river bed to the Stengel dam or alternatively you can relax in the shade of a tree at the Augeikas dam. Afterwards return to Windhoek.

Entrance fees, your tour guide and the vehicle are included.


Leopards of Dusternbrook
(Half day tour in the afternoon - from 14h00 till 17h00)

At 01.30 p.m. (in Namibian summer time 02.30 p.m.) you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to Farm Dusternbrook north of Windhoek. A 4x4 ride takes you to the feeding of the cheetahs and leopards. (Starting in winter time at 2.30 p.m. and in summer time at 3.30 p.m.) You will have ample time to take excellent photos and videos of the predators. Arrival in Windhoek is in the late afternoon.

Entrance fees, the vehicle and your tour guide are included.


Okahandja & Leopards of Dusternbrook
(Full day tour - from10h00 till 18h00)

At the arranged time in the morning you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to the historical graves of the significant Herero leader, Samuel Maharero, and the Nama leader and founder of Windhoek, Jonker Afrikaner, in Okahandja. The woodcarvers market of Okahandja has a variety of interesting objects to offer. The carvers mainly use the indigenous Dolf wood (Pterocarpus angolensis). Afterwards visit the ostrich farm Ombo, north of Okahandja. Lunch will be served at a restaurant. Afterwards drive to the Farm Dusternbrook in time for a 4x4 ride to see the leopard and cheetah feeding. (Starting in winter at 2.30 p.m. and in summer at 3.30 p.m.) You will have ample time to take excellent photos and videos of the predators. Arrival in Windhoek is in the late afternoon.

Windhoek & Okahandja
(Full day tour - from 9h00 till 15h00)

Windhoek & Daan Viljoen
(Full day tour - from 9h00 till 16h00)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. The Windhoek City Tour gives you a perception of the turbulent past of this country. Thereafter continue to the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, west of Windhoek. With some luck, you might see wildlife such as Oryx, ostriches, springboks, hartebeests and the rare eland. You have time to relax in the shade of a tree at the Augeikas dam or alternatively you can go on a casual walk in the river bed to the Stengel dam. Arrival in Windhoek is in the late afternoon.

Lions of Okapuka
(Half day tour in the afternoon - from 13h00 till 20h00)

At 1.00 p.m. (in Namibian winter time 12.00 a.m.) you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to Farm Okapuka, north of Windhoek. There you will take part in a game drive through the private game reserve, where with some luck, you can see a variety of African game, such as giraffes, oryx, springboks, kudus, elands and crocodiles in the dam. The most exciting experience is the feeding of the lions. You will observe this spectacle from the "lion bar", afterwards enjoying dinner or a traditional barbecue. In the Namibian winter time, you will first enjoy lunch, before departing for the game drive and the lion feeding. Thereafter return to Windhoek.

Dinner or lunch at Okapuka, entrance fees, game drive, vehicle and your tour guide are included.


Wustenquell
(Two days, one night)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive via Okahandja and Karibib to Farm Wustenquell, at the edge of the Namib desert. Wustenquell ("Desert Spring") is surrounded by a large variety of succulents and huge obscure granite rock formations, which erode by heat, wind and especially mist. Visit the historical desert spring, which was used to fill the water tanks of the steam engines in colonial times. You can take a walk through the unique landscape surrounding the spring. Overnight either in a bungalow or in a tent on one of the camp sites. Next morning scenic drive on the farm and return to Windhoek.

Eningu
(Two days, one night)

At the arranged time in the morning you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to the Eningu "The Clay-House Lodge", which lies southeast of Windhoek on the Peperkorrel farm 65 km from the International Airport. The excellent lodge is perfectly integrated into the surrounding Kalahari Desert. It was built from hand made, sun and air dried clay bricks. You will find the solar heated swimming pool and an outdoor whirlpool most relaxing. After arrival on Eningu in time for lunch visit to the Dorka weaving mill and the studio of sculpturess Dorte Berner. Most spectacular sunsets can be witnessed from the roof top balcony. In the following morning you can go on a short hike on the farm, before returning to Windhoek.

Included are full board on Eningu, entrance fee, vehicle and the tour guide.


Swakopmund
(Two days, one night)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. The journey takes you westwards over the Khomas Hochland with its hill and valley landscape. It is well known for cattle farming. Game such as kudu, Oryx, springboks and steenboks are sometimes seen. After about three hours drive arrival at the great escarpment, where you have a magnificent view over the Namib. Descend down the Bosua Pass into the desert. In the afternoon reach the Blutkuppe, a granite island in the central Namib Park. Here quiver trees and other desert plants grow, you might also see Oryx, ostriches and springboks. To have an impressive view of the surroundings, it is recommended to climb up the Blutkuppe. In the late afternoon arrival in Swakopmund. Dinner and overnight in one of Swakopmund's pleasant hotels. Next morning after breakfast drive to the Walvis Bay lagoon to view a variety of sea birds such as the Flamingo. On the way back to Swakopmund time to stop near the sea and enjoy the dunes. After lunch travel back to Windhoek. Arrival in Windhoek in the late afternoon.

Sossusvlei
(three days, two nights)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive via the breathtaking Spreetshoogte Pass and along the Namib edge to the south. After passing the Naukluft mountains arrival at the lodge in the Tsaris mountains in the afternoon. Dinner, bed and breakfast in the Zebra River Lodge (or similar). The next morning at sunrise drive to the apricot coloured dunes of Sossusvlei. The dunes are photographed best in the mornings, when their colouring is most vivid. From the 2 x 4 parking area you can either walk the last 5 km into the vlei or take the 4 x 4 shuttle (optional). To have an impressive birds-eye view of the surrounding areas it is recommended to climb onto one of the dunes. Thereafter visit to the Sesriem Canyon and drive back to the lodge. The following day there is time to go for a walk before returning to Windhoek.

Zebra River Lodge

Sossusvlei Lodge 

Included are full board on Zebra River Lodge or Sossusvlei Lodge, entrance fees, vehicle and the tour guide.


Etosha National Park
(Three days, two nights)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. Drive to the Otjibamba Lodge near Otjiwarongo, where an excellent lunch will be served. Afterwards continue to one of the pleasant lodges near the eastern entrance of the Etosha National Park. Dinner, bed and breakfast at the lodge.
The next morning at sunrise drive into the Etosha Park, where various water holes will be approached for game viewing. With some luck black rhinos, elephants, giraffes, antelopes and other game can be seen. Lunch at one of the rest camps. In the late afternoon drive back to the lodge. The following morning drive to the mystical Lake Otjikoto and to the former mining town Tsumeb. After lunch return via Okahandja to Windhoek. 

2 x dinner, bed and breakfast in Etosha Aoba or Mokuti Lodge, 3 x lunch, entrance fees, vehicle and your tour guide are included.


Waterberg
(Two days, one night)

At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. The journey takes you north to Okahandja where the wood carvers' market will be visited. Afterwards continue to the Wabi Lodge, which is nestled within the Otjisongombe Valley, a green oasis south of the Waterberg Mountain. The unique flora in this area can be enjoyed on informative hikes in the valley. After breakfast the next morning a hike on the plateau is arranged to explore the fauna and flora of this area. Lunch in the Wabi Lodge. Afterwards drive to Windhoek. Arrival in the late afternoon in Windhoek.
