The Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometers, has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Its uniqueness in the abundance of wildlife and the true African nature of the region, offers a safari experience of a lifetime. A major feature of the Chobe National Park is its elephant population, which comprises part of what is probably the largest surviving continuous elephant population.

Sunday Chobe Region Breakfast & Dinner
Not too long ago Kasane was a remove and forgettable small village, today it’s a bustling little town located along the main tourist route and is the meeting point between four countries (Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe). Kasane also boasts an old and dignified baobab tree with its own story to tell: in earlier years the hollowed out trunk served as the local prison until the current brick structure behind it was built. Participate in a morning game drive into Chobe National Park, afternoon boat cruise.

Our route takes us over the
Khomas Hochland Mountain Range, the escarpment, through dry river beds and over
gravel plains, this is a land with many faces. Situated in the foothills
of the NamibRand Nature Reserve this is the pristine Namib Desert. For the
discerning traveller this is a place of exceptional elegance and comfort from
which to explore the gifts of the desert. With mornings and evenings being the
time at which most desert excursions are undertaken. Afternoon nature
drive or a sunset dune ride on ATV’s (four-wheel motorcycles)) will be
undertaken.
A visit will be made to Sossusvlei with its monumentally high sand dunes.
The Namib Desert, which stretches along the Atlantic Coast for centuries created
a barrier for explorers attempting to reach the interior.
Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge: app. 320km
Day 3 & 4 Swakopmund Full Board
Nowhere on earth do such desolate landscapes reflect so many moods and characters. After leaving this area we travel via the Kuiseb Canyon across the broad gravel plains. Visit the Welwitschia Plains, where one specimen of this plant is some 1500 years old and Moon Landscape, a vista across eroded hills and valleys carved by the Swakop River. The coastal town of Swakopmund nestles between the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert. Palm-lined streets, seaside promenades, flower gardens, half-timbered houses and colonial structures, all this combines to form a feeling of true hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. A sundowner excursion will be undertaken to the dunes. A short road transfer takes us to Walvis Bay where we embark on a Marine Cruise which provides us with a glimpse of Namibia's only deep-sea harbour, encounters with aquatic birds and Cape fur seals, and the opportunity of sighting bottlenose and heavy-side dolphins, the latter a species endemic to the coast of south-western Africa. Namibian oysters, counted amongst the best in the world, canapés and chilled sparkling wine from South Africa as well as soft drinks are served on board during this leisurely cruise.
Day 5 Damaraland Full Board
Departing Northwards along the coastal road we arrive at Cape Cross Seal Reserve where some 100 000 Cape Fur Seals live and breed. Head inland across the flat, barren plain to the abandoned tin mine of Uis and past the Brandberg Mountain (Namibia’s highest peak). This is Damaraland with its rugged landscapes, sparse population and great mountains, these broad spaces are one of Africa’s last wildlife areas where game such as Hartmanns Mountain Zebra, Giraffe, springbok, black rhino and desert adapted elephant survive. Twyfelfontein is regarded as one of the richest collections of rock engravings in Africa, the slopes of the area are strewn with boulders; all dotted with paintings and ancient engravings
