Intercape Mainliner

INTERCAPE is Southern Africa’s leading wholly integrated road passenger travel and transfer service. Crossing horizons the length and breadth of Southern Africa, the four million plus passengers were carried safe and sound and on time to almost every major town in this vast subcontinent, stand testimony to the superior value-for-money service. This family business was founded by Mr Johan Ferreira in 1979 and now operates from its headquarters close to Cape Town International Airport. The company provides a service to all major cities in South Africa, together with routes to Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Victoria Falls, Maputo and Gaborone.

It became imperative to control the standard and quality of all Intercape Mainliner staff in the service-orientated industry and their own Training Centre in Cape Town followed, which has been accredited and is also used by outside companies. The need to carry not only passengers, but also parcels and documents, lead to a further initiative of a country wide parcels service, Intercape Parcels Services. This makes INTERCAPE the largest privately-owned mainliner company in Southern Africa. The company’s mission is to use its considerable experience to accommodate the needs of travellers by providing the preferred, absolutely reliable, safe, added-value service round the clock, all backed by a substantial luxury coach fleet and technical support infrastructure.Intercape Namibia
