Okarohombo Camping Site

230 km from Opuwo in the Marienfluss valley near Otjinungwa. Driving from south-east on gravel road D3703 turn left at Otjitanda towards Van Zyl's Pass. The campsite can be found down the pass at Otjinjange River. 4x4 only.

Facilities:

5 camping sites (for 3-4 tents each). Flushing toilet and shower at each site. Water tap at each site. Thatched field kitchen.

Activities:

Photography (permission must be asked if local people are photographed), walking, bird watching.

Please note that firewood is in very short supply. Please bring your own or use gas cookers. CROCODILES ARE IN THE RIVER!
