Old Coach Road Guest House opened its doors to the first guests during November 1997. The name is derived from the coach road between Barberton and Delgoa Bay, used by transport riders delivering supplies to the many gold prospectors during the gold rush of 1874 - 1898. The route was also made famous by Percy Fitzpatric and his dog Jock. The remains of a portion of this road runs through the property. Old Coach Road is ideally situated to explore the Lowveld. Kruger National Park is only 65km away and easily accessible for a day visit. Your hosts Adriaan and Lili invite you to enjoy their hospitality.

Accommodation is separate from the main house with private entrance and all rooms have private facilities with either bath or shower. Accommodation consists of: five double rooms, three with shower and two with bath; Two family units each with two bedrooms, bathroom and small lounge; two single rooms with shower. Facilities for wheel chairs are available. Accommodation is offered on a bed and breakfast basis with dinner available from a small menu. Establishment are also fully licensed. Old Coach Road Guest House is situated 9km from Barberton on the R38 Kaapmuiden road. Set on 13 acres of land, within a nature reserve, the guest house is surrounded by indigenous lowveld vegetation and many relics form the gold rush days.
