Plover Cottage offers the ideal stopover for the weary traveller. Come relax in the beautiful countryside of ' big sky country' and breath the fresh air of the Orange Free State. Make your overnight stop part of your holiday. Plover Cottage caters for the overnight traveller and those visiting Bloemfontein who prefer the peace and quite of the country to the noisy city. Establishment are not involved with conferencing and guarantee no loud business parties. Plover Cottage B&B is a guest house style B&B and consists of three elegant thatched cottages situated in the Bloemfontein countryside. There are seven en-suite rooms available for guests with two rooms in the Weaver Cottage and five rooms in the large Plover Cottage. The cottages are furnished with antique and collectable furniture with heaters and extra blankets in each room for the cool winter nights. The large Plover Cottage offers a comfortable lounge area and dining room for guests that leads onto a large patio. English and Continental breakfasts are served and dinner is available on request.
The Glen area of Bloemfontein is steeped in history and offers interesting walks and crystal clear night skies. There is a 9 hole golf course nearby and the Modder River and neighbouring farms provide a true country setting with calming night sounds. Aldersgate is located just 12km North of Bloemfontein and offers superior conference and wedding facilities, a 4x4 off-road course and company lunches and suppers.
