Accommodation South Africa

Sanddrif Holiday Resort Western Cape, Citrusdal, South AfricaCederberg wines are produced by South Africa's most uniquely situated wine farm boasting the Cape's highest lying vineyards. The farm is situated in the Cederberg Wilderness Area, and falls within the Cape "fynbos" region - one of the worlds' six floral kingdoms. The cellar has leaped into prominence on the South African wine scene with an impressive repertoire of awards, including the coveted Veritas. Double Gold medal - South Africa's top wine accolade.
Directions from Cape Town: Take the N7 turn-off on the N1. 28km after Citrusdal, turn right at the Algeria/Cederberg sign. Continue past Algeria and over the Uitkyk Pass - about 46 km of gravel road - until you reach Dwarsrivier, home of Cederberg wines.
THE PRIVATELY OWNED RESORT OF CEDERBERG CELLAR
Tucked away on the lush banks of the tranquil Dwars River, at the foot of the Wolfberg, Sanddrif is the ideal base for nature lovers and the adventurous: trail hikers, 4x4 enthusiasts, mountain bikers and rock climbers. The less fit can enjoy the cool crystal-clear waters of the Maalgat pools only a 20 minute walk away, wander through The Valley of the Red Gods or watch the sun setting the mountains on fire. Come back to a welcoming campfire for a relaxed evening under the star-studded sky.
ACCOMMODATION: Sanddrif offers a wide choice of accommodation, from well-run camping facilities with a safe playground for the children, to cosy and fully equipped self-catering chalets or luxury cottages with breathtaking views of the famous Wolfberg Cracks. The well-stocked Dwarsrivier farm shop has everything from postcards to petrol. The friendly staff will supply you with all the information, permits and keys you need to explore the area.
