Gondwana starts a new trend with iPad App – 7 January 2013
The Gondwana app for iPads keeps
the promise of its cover page: worthwhile information for an unforgettable
Namibia holiday.
The new application, introduced by the Gondwana Collection Namibia, presents the
lodge group’s accommodation facilities in the whole country and offers the
opportunity to book in real time. Picture galleries, virtual 360° tours and
brief descriptions of the 13 Gondwana lodges contribute to the thrill of the
forthcoming Namibia trip and foster a desire to experience the natural
environment of our uniquely designed lodges as well as the country’s culture and
history from as close as it gets.
The Gondwana app makes dreams come true – dreams of grand landscapes, a rich
fauna and unforgettable moments.
The application is linked to Gondwana’s website which, among other things,
contains worthwhile information on Namibia’s sights and the private nature
reserves of the Gondwana Collection. Namibia enthusiasts will also find many
details on the history and culture of our country.
With this user-friendly application the Managing Director of the Gondwana
Collection Namibia, Mannfred Goldbeck, is breaking the mould in online
marketing: "We not only want to make it easier for prospective visitors to
Namibia to plan their trip, but we also want to be a reliable travel companion
during their stay in our multifaceted country. By linking our app to Google Maps
and social networks like Facebook and Twitter we are able to keep our visitors
constantly up to speed with topical developments."
It is largely thanks to Frank Sillen of Your World Publishers that the idea of a
Gondwana app became a reality. Search for "Gondwana Collection" in the app store
for iPads. The Gondwana app is also an integrated part of the official Namibia
app "Discover Namibia" by the Namibia Tourism Board.
