Motswiri Ketumetse Camp Ngamiland

Accommodation Botswana

Nestled in a grove of ancient lead wood trees on the banks of the western Selinda Spillway, Motswiri Camp is ideally suited to the safari enthusiasts. It is located in the remote southwest corner of the Selinda, a 1350 sq km reserve that straddles the Selinda Spillway. This ephemeral waterway is perennially flooded by the cool clear waters of the Okavango, bringing with them the myriad of life that characterises this river. Motswiri Camp's 3 traditional Meru tents are comfortably appointed with full en-suite facilities including the obligatory open air shower and flush toilet. All tents look out onto the spillway which comes alive with bird and wildlife during the annual floods. The main area has an outdoor bar and fireplace set apart from the cosy dining and lounge area.
Activities at Motswiri Camp: Activities at Motswiri are designed for the more adventurous at heart. Full day walking safaris, game drives (morning, afternoon and night) and canoeing (depending on extent and duration of floods) are conducted by an experienced guide and tracker. With only 6 guests, it is they who set the pace of the day, and routine is not in the Motswiri vocabulary.
