10-Day Windhoek to Victoria Falls

Day 1: Windhoek
An early morning flight takes you from Windhoek to Mokuti Lodge, just outside the gates of Etosha National Park. Your group will meet you here around lunchtime. Optional Game Drives is available through Mokuti Lodge in the morning. Alternatively you can stroll around thought the many marked trails around the Lodge or visit their interesting curio shop.
Meals included: Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tent-style campsite with ablution facilities.

Day 2 & 3: Ngepi
We relax the next two days at this lovely campsite on the banks of the Kavango River in the Caprivi Strip. From here, we have the opportunity to visit the local villages, do some fishing or recharge your batteries.
Distance Traveled: 600 km Approximate Time Traveled: 8 hours
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tent-style campsite with ablution facilities.

Botswana
Day 4, 5, 6 & 7: Maun and the Okavango Delta
We will be heading into the Okavango Delta for the next few days for our bush experience. Here you have the choice between 2 delta excursions: Drive-in trip with local dug out canoes (mokoros) to transport you to your island bush camp or a 4 x 4 safari in the undiscovered Moremi Game Reserve.
Clients who stay at the base campsite in Maun can arrange flights over the Delta, fishing excursions or visit the local town.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Moremi Game Reserve or Okavango Delta by Mokoro or Okavango Delta Fly-in
Distance Traveled: 430 km Approximate Time Traveled: 7 hours
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tent-style campsite with ablution facilities at base camp. Optional activities: Tent-style bushcamp with no or minimal facilities.

Day 8: Kasane and Chobe National Park
Enjoy the diversity and abundance of game, birds and vegetation to be found on the flood plains of the Chobe Game Reserve. Optional game drives or boat cruises are available.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Chobe Sunset Cruise, Chobe Game Drive or Chobe Combo
Distance Traveled: 600 km Approximate Time Traveled: 9 hours
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tent-style campsite with ablution facilities.

Zimbabwe
Day 9 & 10: Victoria Falls
The final leg of our journey takes us into Zimbabwe, to view the unrivalled majesty of the Victoria Falls. Here you are free to partake in the many activities on offer- some of the most exciting white water rafting in the world or a 111-metre Bungi-jump. Our tour ends on the morning of day 10 after breakfast. (Umkulu Adventures will pay accommodation on day 10)
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Bungi Jumping, Zambezi White Water Rafting, Sunset Cruise or Gorge Swing.
Distance Traveled: 140km Approximate Time Traveled: 3 ½ hours
Meals included: Day 9 – BL, dinner own expense; Day 10 – B only
Accommodation: Backpacker style bedded accommodation.

Transfers after tours:
The truck will depart Zimbabwe at 5am on day 11, heading via Botswana into South Africa and on to Pretoria. Day 12, the truck will leave for Cape Town and arrive on day 13.
Transfer costs: *Victoria Falls to Pretoria R350.00 *Victoria Falls to Cape Town R700.00

Umkulu Adventures T-shirt, mattress, 2-man dome tents, camping equipment, camping fees, Namibian Parks entrance fees, 3 meals a day as indicated, cooking & eating utensils, transport in Mercedes Benz overland truck, radio cassette, lockers, safe for valuables, Minus 40 Freezer cooler boxes for drinks, 2 guides, big windows, hard top, individually seats 22 –25 people. Flight from Windhoek to Etosha.

What is excluded?
Visas (Passport holders requiring visas for Botswana must please obtain multiple entry visas if they wish to transfer back to South Africa with Umkulu Adventures), sleeping bags, own drinks, optional activities, all clients must have travel insurance and Malaria tablets.
