Health

The northern part of the country is an endemic malaria area. We strongly recommend for all visitors to take necessary precautions. Anti mosquito spray is available in all pharmacies or in most local shops. Always consult your doctor on correct prophylaxis before entering the country. Polio is still present in the southern part of the country.
Blood in Namibia is donated by unpaid volunteers and carefully checked by blood transfusion service for hepatitis and AIDS.
Because of huge distances high costs are involved in the case of accident or injury. All payments are expected to be settled immediately.
That is why we advise all visitors to arrange own comprehensive insurance before embarking on a tour. From our side we have Aeromed cover which provides our guests with an emergency transportation in case of accident.
