Savute Safari Lodge |
The summer rains bring a feast for Lion, Hyena and Cheetah
as thousands of migrating Zebra and Wildebeest assemble in a chaotic pattern
on the marshes. Savute pulses to a timeless rhythm, melodies of mysterious wet
and dry cycle that mould its landscape and determines its inhabitants. For the
moment Savuti is dry. A winding fossil channel vanishes into the sweeping
expanse of a relic marsh, where the spectacular fortress of the Gubatsa Hills
relieves Savuti's extraordinarily flat countryside. Savute Safari Lodge peers
out from ancient Camelthorn trees on the shore of the channel. The cocktail
bar summons you with a cold drink on a hot Savute day, while a fireplace turns
the lounge into a cozy refuge on winter nights. A handful of small pans
sustain Savute's thousands of animals with a permanent, yet fragile water
source. On an open vehicle game drive, conducted by a professional guide,
droves of bull Elephants shuffle past you towards the water and talk about you
in gentle reassuring rumbles.
Exclusive accommodation provides twelve stylishly furnished twin bedded Safari
Suites for a maximum of 24 guests. The unique design of the suites with their
spacious interior and large glass sliding doors sets Savute Safari Lodge apart
from typical safari accommodation. Private viewing decks and en suite
facilities combine luxury and comfort with a classic wilderness experience.
