Sefofane Namibia launches new circuit seat air service

Sefofane Namibia is pleased to announce a circuit seat rate service with new routes, starting 01 April 2009. The new flying circuit will provide a daily service to the Sossusvlei Area, including Wolwedans; Swakopmund, the Palmwag/Damaraland Area, inclusive of Serra Cafema and the Southern side of Etosha. Guests will benefit with reduced rates on some of the routes.

The service will mostly be provided in the more comfortable and spacious Cessna Caravan C208.

Below are some aspects of the new service:

• The circuit operates in a clockwise direction, starting in Windhoek, continuing to Sossusvlei and then on to Palmwag.
• From Palmwag connecting flights link the Ongava camps, Desert Rhino Camp, Grootberg Lodge, Damaraland Camp, Doro Nawas, Twyfelfontein Camps and Serra Cafema camps.
• All flights connecting Sossusvlei and Palmwag go via Swakopmund and include a scenic flight at no additional cost.
• For itineraries excluding Sossusvlei and Swakopmund, there is a direct route from Windhoek to Palmwag, from which connecting flights link to the northern camps mentioned above.
• Set arrival and departure times provided by the consultant result in reduced costs and rates on certain routes.
• Private charter options still exist for travel to all destinations in any direction.
• Flights into Windhoek International & Windhoek Eros airports are common rated.
• C210 aircraft are stationed at Sossusvlei, Palmwag and in Serra Cafema for connecting transfers as well as scenic flights.
• Please note that all bookings confirmed by the end of February will be honoured and all existing bookings will be shifted onto the new system where possible, otherwise honoured as confirmed.

Sefofane is focusing strongly both on improved service delivery as well as efforts to create a greener operation.
This new schedule enables us:
• to reduce our carbon footprint
• provide a superior product offering
• improve communications through set arrival and departure times, which in turn allows for better planning for all camps and other accommodation establishments, and provides more clarity for Namibian itineraries.
