ACCOMMODATION: All accommodation units comprise double en-suite serviced bedrooms. Premier quality beds, fine cotton bed and bath linens and mosquito nets provided. Each chalet has an adjoining lapa with dining area and kitchen that is fully equipped with fridges and gas cooker
and all utensils for indoor and outdoor cooking. Firewood and drinking water is provided.
GAMEBIRD LODGE, MOTSWEDI LODGE, LECHA LODGE, TREEFROG COTTAGE: GameBird Lodge is within an enclosed garden and has 3 en-suite bedrooms with two deluxe three quarter beds in each, with an additional single bed in two of the rooms this lodge sleeps 8. The fully equipped boma kitchen includes a small electric oven with two plate stove, two fridges with freezers and a kettle. Motswedi Lodge comprises 3 double chalets, all en-suite, an enclosed garden, and a fully fitted kitchen boma and braai area. Lecha Lodge sleeps a family of four, in one en-suite bedroom with two deluxe three quarter beds and an adjoining bunkroom for two children. It has a fully equipped boma kitchen (as with GameBird Lodge). Treefrog sleeps a family of 4 in an en-suite bedroom (double bed) with adjoining double bunkroom. It is not equipped with kitchen bomas, it is booked as overflow accommodation for large groups utilizing the larger lodges. Maid service (excl. laundry) is included; please just stack dirty dishes at the sink and they will be taken care of. Laundry service is available at nominal charge, if required. (Same day service - weather permitting). Mosquito coils are provided in summer and please use the mosquito nets. Keep your bedroom door closed, especially in summer, to keep out unwelcome visitors, and as always in the bush watch where you step and shake out shoes and clothing before donning them.
The very private campsite is set in a secluded riverine area that can accommodate about six three man tents around a centralised fire area with non-flush toilet and shower (with hot and cold water, working on a donkey system). Firewood and drinking water is provided. The whole campsite is booked for you in private.

     

ACTIVITIES: There are a number of activities to choose from during your stay with hosts. Early morning or evening guided game drives, or boat trips (if the water level permits), morning horse rides or game walks, or you can spend your time relaxing at the river and the pool. You are allowed
to do game drives with you own vehicle any time of the day subject to Reserve regulations.
DIRECTIONS: Stevensford Game Ranch is ± 480 kilometres from Johannesburg. It is an ideal overnight stop coming to or from Chobe or the Okavango. The route is Pretoria, Nylstroom, Vaalwater, Ellisras, Groblersbridge border, and then to and passing through the village of Sherwood in Botswana, turning right immediately after the veterinary barrier, following the Stevensford sign, along the gravel road 13 kilometres to host gates.
