The 14-bedroomed hotels' mountain top location offers a spectacular view and exquisite dining options. The lodge is situated en-route to Sossusvlei, 40 km from the main gate. The lodge offers something for the vast traveller, family man and local business traveller. Exclusivity and privacy makes this lodge a unique experience for all.

Protea Hotel Moon Mountain Lodge has an in house restaurant, serving international cuisine. The restaurant is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, open from 06h30 until 22h00 daily.

The 14 bedrooms consist of 4 standard rooms, 12 luxury rooms and 2 honeymoon suites. All rooms have the standard in room facilities such as coffee/tea making facilities, hairdryers safety box and writing desks with extras such as a separate sitting area, iron and movies! Honeymoon suites have a mini bar and refrigerator.

Most of the land border posts close at night (notably Ngoma in the Caprivi region and Buitepos on the Trans-Kalahari). The two main border posts from South Africa (Ariamsvlei & Noordower) are open 24 hours.

* Windhoek has two airports the International Airport and the smaller Eros Airport. International flights only arrive at the International Airport (which is situated 40km outside of Windhoek).
