Rooisand Lodge is situated on the fringe of the Namib Desert, halfway between Windhoek and Walvis Bay at the Atlantic Ocean. Just about 20 kilometers straight line from Rooisand, is the famous Gamsberg – Namibia’s Table Mountain.
From Windhoek, the distance to Rooisand is about 170 kilometers. Leave the center of Windhoek on C26 in western direction. Shortly after leaving Windhoek you cross the Copper-Mountain Pass and the farm Armani. After approximately 30 km drive left and still follow the C26 in direction Walvis Bay/Gamsberg Pass. Rooisand is reachable with small airplanes as well.
