AAA Car Hire Namibia: Car rental: models, conditions, rates and free information

General information.
Foreigners need an international driver's license when driving a car in Namibia. Visitors of neighbouring countries are exempt from this regulation. Motorists should always carry with them enough tools, if possible two spare wheels, a spade, a container with petrol, oil, drinking water, some food, first-aid kit, etc. Driving in Namibia is on the left side of the road. The speed limit is 120 km/h on open roads and 60 km/h in villages / towns. However, it is advisable to drive at a lower speed than 120 km/h on gravel roads because it can be very slippery. Safety belts must be worn at all times, traffic signs in Namibia are international. Warning signs showing animals must be respected because game often crosses the road unexpectedly, especially kudu and gemsbok antelopes. Therefore driving at a reduced speed during night time is an absolute must.
Please note that most places of interest and road are accessible with a sedan car and only some remote areas such as Kaokoland require 4x4 vehicles.

Conditions of hire:	All vehicles are hired subject to the terms and conditions set out in the standard rental agreement. The above mentioned models may be altered without prior notice. No vehicle may be taken outside Namibia without prior arrangement. Camping equipment can be hired on request. Fully equipped camping vehicles can be booked on request as well as a driver-guide. The rates are subject to availability. Sedan vehicles are allowed on approved gravel roads only.
Rates:	The minimum rates charged will be for a period of 24 hours. Rates include maintenance and oil but exclude petrol. Rates exclude windscreen damage and tyres. We offer discounts on long-term bookings. You can choose between unlimited kilometers rates or daily rates.
Drivers:	A valid unendorsed driver's license must be produced by the driver or any authorized co-driver at the time of rental. The minimum age for drivers is 23 years. On request drivers/guides are available.
Transfers to/from International airport:	Transfers to/from International airport and pick-ups within Windhoek are free of charge. This service is included in our rates. On request a vehicle will be delivered to the airport. For your convenience we offer 24-hour service.
Terms of payment:	Deposit is required unless payment is made by American Express, Visa or MasterCard.
Discounts:	We offer a discounts on a long-term bookings.
