Camp Moremi Ngamiland
Camp Moremi is situated on the gorgeous Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern
extremity of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve. Here, where
the life-giving waters of the Okavango meet up with the vast Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats
have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal
sanctuaries in all Africa. The famous elevated Moremi Tree Lodge is the
dazzling central point of the camp and houses the luxurious main lounge, a
wildlife reference library, dining room and cocktail bar, shaded by giant
ebony trees and overlooking the Okavango Delta's Xakanaxa Lagoon. Camp Moremi
accommodates only 22 safari guests in beautifully furnished East African style
safari tents with private facilities. Moremi Game Reserve supports the most
diverse habitat and animal populations in Botswana, with possible sightings of
Wild Dog, Cheetah and Leopard being highlights. Resident species include Lion,
Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Giraffe, Hyena, Zebra, Kudu, Lechwe, Sable and Roan
A curio shop, swimming pool, covered boma and elevated observation platform assures Camp Moremi of its status as Botswana's finest Safari Lodge. General power (AC 220v) is available during the day and evening. Video batteries can be re-charged. Solar powered lighting is available at night. Visa, MasterCard cards are accepted. Accommodation in Camp Moremi is in 11 East African styled tents with private hot showers and waterborne toilets. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with a Rhodesian Teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional directors chairs; colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. His and hers towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each guest unit has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent and located on the raised platform.
What is included: Your stay at Camp Moremi is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, all local brand drinks, scheduled game-viewing activities, park entrance fees and laundry service.
What is not included: Gratuities, curios and all items of a personal nature. Premium brand drinks.
Electricity: Generator power (AC 220V) is available during the day and evening. Video batteries can be re-charged. Tented accommodation is equipped with a 240-volt AC plug for hairdryers (which are supplied at the lodge), and 12-volt DC lighting for night-time use, after the generator has been switched off.
