Chief's Camp Ngamiland

Main accommodation Botswana

Chief’s Camp is a luxury tented safari camp, situated on the north-western tip of Chief’s Island in the Mombo concession of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. This concession is revered as one of the region's prime game-viewing destinations and has been called the "predator capital" of Africa. The area offers spectacular game viewing year round. Nestled under a canopy of mature Jackalberry, Sausage and Rain trees, Chief's Camp boasts twelve twin-bedded safari tents on stilts. Earthy tones and natural textured fibres provide a contemporary African feel to the Chief's Camp tents all of which have an over head fan, en-suite facilities and a viewing deck.

The main lodge complex houses the dining area, bar, curio shop, library and reception area. The main deck area is split level and offers expansive views over the floodplain to the north. The lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool. Early morning and afternoon game drives at Chief's Camp are conducted in open vehicles with individual seating. At Chief's Camp there is an excellent chance of viewing large concentrations of elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion and wild dog. Additional activities at include guided walks, night drives, birdwatching and seasonal mokoro excursions.
