Mount Etjo Safari Lodge is located within the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary, which was founded by famous conservationist Jan Oelofse during the early seventies.Mount Etjo Safari Lodge Namibia The lodge is situated approximately Mount Etjo Safari Lodge Namibia, pool180 km north of Windhoek in one of the most scenic parts of Namibia, where guests can come into close contact with nature itself. Hundreds of species of birds and mammals can be sighted here, including elephant, black and white rhino, hippo, giraffe and numerous antelopes ranging from the majestic Kudu to the diminutive Damaraland Dik-Dik. Predators, such as lion, leopard and cheetah also roam this area. Game viewing is conducted from open safari vehicles and on foot, accompanied by experienced guides.
"Etjo" means a place of refuge. The guest is accommodated in natural surroundings, having the option to stay in our Rhino Lodge, which is more for the visitor who likes peace and quietness of nature or our Main Lodge. Rooms are furnished comfortable, with en-suite toilet and bath facilities and a number of rooms in our Main Lodge are equipped with their own private Jacuzzis. Our Main Lodge with a swimming pool and garden area overlooks a waterhole, where many animals, including hippo can be observed.

Accommodation options at the Main Lodge include a private apartment furnished with king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with round bathtub, private dining room and lounge as well as a private garden with whirlpool. Other rooms in the Main Lodge are furnished with two double beds or a king size bed and have en-suite shower and toilet facilities.
If you prefer the peace and quiet of nature, then a good option would be to stay at Rhino Lodge, situated in the heart of the Mount Etjo Game Sanctuary. Rhino Lodge has eight wooden cottages, comfortably furnished with wall-to-wall carpets, two beds and an en-suite toilet and shower facilities.
There is also a camp site overlooking the waterhole, each site with its own shower and toilet facility, as well as its own lapa.

Clients are accommodated in standard rooms, rooms are furnished with two three-quarter beds, en-suite shower and toilet facilities

Camp Dinosaur: individual camping sites, each with a private toilet and shower facility, hot and cold running water, 220V full-time electricity with outside connections for fridges and other appliances, as well as a private lapa with barbecue facilities.

Rates: N$ 450.00 per site per night for a maximum of four people, N$ 95.00 per additional person.
