Outjo

Outjo serves as a commercial center for the large white-owned farms of he region and more recently has developed as a staging post for tourists on their way to Damaraland and the famous Etosha National Park. If you have been traveling in the south of the country, or have come up from the coast, you will notice a far greater number and variety of trees in the landscape. This is an area of woodland Savannah supporting both cattle and abundant game. As you continue north towards Etosha, keep an eye out for antelope sheltering in the shade of the trees.
To get there you will almost certainly be en route to or from Etosha and traveling on the C38. Outjo is 73 km northwest of Otjiwarongo and 114 km south of Okaukuejo rest camp in Etosha National Park.
